Diagnostics

After the initial mobility consultation, it may be recommended that your pet have additional diagnostics to help determine the extent of their condition. Here at Up Dog we have full in-house laboratory services as well as use Idexx as our outside laboratory if additional blood tests are needed.

We also use digital radiography to obtain x-rays in the clinic and we can also send these x-rays out to a board-certified radiologist if needed for further evaluation.

Sometimes advanced diagnostics such as musculoskeletal ultrasound, MRI/CT scan, or arthrocentesis (joint tap) are indicated to fully evaluate your pet’s condition. If we feel these services are best for you pet, we will refer you to a specialty hospital that offers those diagnostics and we will continue to work with you and your pet based on those findings and recommendations.
